The conventional gas oven is ideal for traditional roasting, this type of oven is hotter at the top than the bottom. You can put your meat in the middle, roast potatoes towards the top and a pudding towards the bottom. The higher temperatures at the top also make it ideal for Yorkshire puddings.

Normally when the lid is down on your oven the gas is automatically cut off keeping your kitchen safe. The lid down gives you extra workspace, perfect for small kitchens and whilst the lid is up it acts as a natural splashback.
